Who is eligible for member rates and reduced fees?
You are eligible for a member rate if you are a member of the International Cognitive Linguistics Association. You can apply for membership at the ICLA website. The reduced fee applies to PhD students, unemployed colleagues, and colleagues from low-income countries (according to the World Bank list 2024: Afghanistan, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Central African Republic, Chad, DR Congo, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gambia, Guinea, Guinea-Bisseau, Korea Dem. People’s Rep, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mozambique, Niger, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, Togo, Uganda, Yemen). Accompanying persons of participants with a disability as well as sign language interpreters can attend free of charge.
Can the conference fees be waived under certain circumstances?
If you are unable to attend the conference because of the fees, please contact us via info@iclc17.com. We will try to be as generous as possible when it comes to reductions and waivers.
Do all co-authors of accepted papers have to register for the conference?
Only co-authors who actually participate in the conference have to register. If you are a co-author of an accepted paper but are not going to attend the conference, there is no need to register. If you are going to attend the conference, you will have to register. Note that papers can only be included in the conference program if at least one co-author is registered for the conference.
